The German WW2 Dienstglas 6x30 was the standard issue binocular for all branches of the German armed forces. The term Dienstglas translates to "service glass," indicating that it was military property.
This item:
Pair of early military binoculars made by E.Leitz from Wetzlar in Germany, maker marked with "Dienstglas" and serial Nr. It comes together with its original brown necklace and lens cover! Leitz became later the infamous company Leica and the binoculars where desirable for their high twilight factor. A few minor chips are visible in the right front lens and it is missing one tiny screw from the lens protective cap, but the view is fabulous. An early pair of lenses in a good working order.
