The Air Raid Protection Badge was an award of Nazi Germany, established on January 30, 1938, to recognize services rendered to air raid protection and air defense. It was awarded in two classes and could be bestowed upon anyone who had distinguished themselves through exceptional achievements in these fields. Wearing the badge is permitted today only in a modified version without Nazi emblems. Established: January 30, 1938, by Adolf Hitler. Recognition of services rendered to air raid protection and air defense. Recipients: Individuals who had distinguished themselves in organizations such as the Reich Air Raid Protection League (RLB), the Security and Auxiliary Service (SHD), factory security, and the Order Police.
There were two classes, which could differ in material and appearance, for example, in zinc or aluminum.
