A Luger P08 holster is a carrying case specifically designed to hold the iconic P08 Luger semi-automatic pistol, the standard sidearm for the German military during both World War I and World War II. The most common and historically significant type is the "hardshell" leather holster, which provided robust protection for the pistol.
Material: Original and replica holsters are primarily made of hardened leather (usually black or brown). They typically have belt loops on the back for attachment to a load-carrying waist belt. A top flap with a buckle closure secures the weapon inside. A small internal pocket is often included to store a specific tool used for stripping and maintenance of the P08 pistol. Many original holsters bear manufacturer markings, dates, and German Army Weapons Agency inspection marks (Waffenamt stamps).
