*A pickelhaube case is a specialized carrying or storage container for a Pickelhaube, the spiked helmet used by German military, police, and firefighters in the 19th and 20th centuries.
These cases were typically made of pressed fiberboard or leather and designed to protect the distinctive, fragile shape of the helmet, particularly the spike and the highly polished metal fittings, during transport or storage. Original examples are considered rare collectibles today. *
