A Roten Kreuz WW2 belt buckle is the official belt buckle of the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK), or German Red Cross, used during the Third Reich era.
Design and features a prominent central emblem on a pebbled background, surrounded by an open-topped wreath of laurels. The emblem consists of a German national eagle with down-swept wings clutching a Red Cross symbol in its talons, which has a mobile swastika at its breast. Early versions were made of aluminum, while later war-era buckles were typically made of steel. They usually have a grey or silver-grey finish. Original buckles are often marked on the reverse with "Ges. Gesch." (Gesetzlich Geschützt, meaning "By-law Protected") and/or a maker's code
