Named Gala Tunic with medals part 1

€ 1.695,00
A beautiful Luftwaffe evening Gala Tunic with medals included belonged to Hauptmann Rolf Maus, luftwaffe Fest.Flak-Abt. 31.
This sale includes the dress jacket, waistcoat, and a four-piece medal bar from the First World War, designed in a typical Austrian style and lined with red felt. The original locking pin is in perfect condition. This ensemble also includes the Iron Cross First Class, 1939. So, not "these medals are just there for the photo." No, I found the set as is, and that's how I'd like to offer it. The gala uniform is registered to Hauptmann Rolf Maus, who served in the Luftwaffe Fest.Flak-Abt. 31. Rolf was an Austrian veteran who served in the First World War. He received the Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Hindenburg Cross (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer 1914-1918), which is maker marked, an Austrian WWI Commemorative Service Medal with swords, and a Hungarian WWI Commemorative Medal, 1914-1918, "Pro Deo et Patria" (For God and Country). The Iron Cross 1st Class, 1939, is in very nice, worn condition; it is a three-piece construction with a magnetic core. It is marked with maker's code 65, which indicates the manufacturer Klein & Quenzer AG from Idar-Oberstein. The cross is slightly curved, which enhances its appearance on the tunic. The jacket is in virtually pristine condition. I discovered two moth holes, one of which is not visible from the outside and a small moth hole on the back of the sleeve. The whole has a beautiful lining. All buttons (Assmann) are originally attached, including the two chain closures. The beautiful eagle is made of hand-woven silver thread. A beautiful Fangschnur (Augillette), made of woven silver thread, is originally attached to the jacket. The buttons on the shoulder pieces are screw-on. As you can see in the photos, both the jacket and the waistcoat have a beautiful tailor's label; the waistcoat is, of course, registered to Lieutenant Maus at the time (Münster 1937). The waistcoat is in impeccable condition. All in all, a magnificent showpiece that will be a real eye-catcher in any Luftwaffe collection.
