Der Grosse Befehl (translated as "The Great Command" or "The Big Order") was a Nazi-era propaganda photo book published in 1941 by Zeitgeschichte-Verlag in Berlin.
It was commissioned by the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW - High Command of the German Armed Forces) to document the rapid German military victories in Western Europe in 1940. Full Title: Der Grosse Befehl: Der Sieg im Westen in 100 Bilddokumenten (The Great Command: The Victory in the West in 100 Photographic Documents). The 96-page book contains over 100 photographs (full- and half-page) taken by PK-men (Propaganda-Kompanie or war correspondents). It highlights the "Blitzkrieg" success against the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. Photos include Luftwaffe planes over Holland, paratroopers at Eben Emael, tanks crossing borders, the Dunkirk evacuation (from a German perspective), and the victory parade in Paris. It is a piece of Third Reich propaganda intended to boast about the speed and superiority of the German military. It was published as a 7-1/2 x 10-1/2 inch softcover book. The book is often associated with other similar photo books from that period, such as Der Kampf im Westen.
