A miniature medal stick pin is a small piece of jewelry worn by veterans and military personnel on civilian clothing (such as a suit or suit jacket) to show their military decorations in a subtle way. These stickpins consist of a thin needle with one or more scaled-down replicas of official medals and badges on it. The miniature medals are usually between 9 mm and 16 mm in size. They are usually pinned to the left lapel of a jacket. A stick pin can contain a single award, but also a group of multiple medals (a "chain" or "bar").
