€ 59,00
Gautag badges were issued to commemorate regional party rallies of the NSDAP. The 'Bayerische Ostmark' was a key administrative district (Gau) in eastern Bavaria, with Regensburg serving as one of its primary hubs. These early "tinnies" from 1933 were worn with pride by participants to demonstrate their regional loyalty during the first major gatherings following the political transition of early 1933.
This item:
A very attractive and crisp commemorative badge (tinnie) for the Gautag in Regensburg, 1933, representing the Bayerische Ostmark region. This is a classic early political badge from the first year of the new era in Germany. Features a powerful eagle over the city of Regensburg, with the regional title "Bayer. Ostmark" and the year "1933" clearly displayed. The strike is very sharp, showing great detail in the architecture and the eagle. Excellent condition. The gold-colored finish (Goudkleurig) is still very vibrant and shows minimal wear, which is rare for these 90-year-old badges. Complete with its original, functional pin (naald) and catch. No repairs, no damage. Historical Significance: Items from 1933 are highly sought after by collectors as they represent the "Early Period" of political awards.
