This is an original, early-war World War II German military folding fork and spoon combination (Essbesteck / Göffel). Manufactured in 1937, this lightweight utensil is made entirely of high-grade aluminum, typical for high-quality pre-war and early-war Wehrmacht field gear. The piece features a folding mechanism that allows it to compact tightly for storage inside the soldier's breadbag (Brotbeutel). It is fully marked with production codes, a military acceptance stamp, and features a fascinating piece of soldier history with personalized initials scratched into the metal during the war.
