This large-scale, highly artistic medal has a diameter of approximately 51 mm and is masterfully crafted from premium brown Böttger stoneware (Böttger-Steinzeug) with elegant, selective gold-gilding highlighting the edges and design. The obverse displays a striking national eagle over the silhouette of the Nuremberg Castle. The medal comes complete in its rare, original wine-red presentation award case lined with fine cream-colored silk. This luxury variant was an official gift presented directly by the municipality. *

Medal Condition: The Böttger stoneware body is in flawless, pristine condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, or flea bites. The delicate factory gold-gilding along the details remains bright, crisp, and beautifully preserved. The original textured red award case is complete and very well-preserved. The interior lid features the clean, bright red silk-printed inscription: "Gegeven von der Stadt Nürnberg". Maker Markings: The reverse of the medal features the crisp, deep-impressed logo of the world-famous porcelain manufacturer "Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria" (complete with the heraldic lion crest). Factory Sticker: The underside of the red presentation box still features its original, matching paper retailer/manufacturer sticker from Hutschenreuther Bavaria, confirming this as a 100% factory-matched set.
