This complete field/mess set consists of a combat knife, a fork, and a spoon. Every single component features the official, crisp Kriegsmarine Eagle over "M" acceptance stamp. It represents a truly unique, untouched piece of personal naval crew gear that survived the war in remarkably crisp condition.

The Knife: Crafted from aluminum, the knife handle is clearly hand-stamped by the wartime owner with the surname "Diemer". The blade shows honest period use and remains nice and sharp. Crucially, the tip is intact and has never been abused or bent from being used as a makeshift screwdriver. The reverse features the crisp Kriegsmarine Eagle/"M" stamp.
The Spoon & Stamping Error: The front of the spoon features a highly charming and historical mistake: the soldier attempted to stamp his name but accidentally punched the letter "M" (or "W") upside down, resulting in the spelling "Diewer". Once stamped into the aluminum, it couldn't be corrected! The reverse bears the Kriegsmarine Eagle/"M", the manufacturer code "G & CL 41" (Gebrüder Hepp, Pforzheim 1941), and two additional stamped initials: "H O". The Fork: The aluminum fork is in excellent, clean condition with all four tines remaining completely straight and sharp. While it does not bear the soldier's name, the reverse features the official Kriegsmarine Eagle/"M" acceptance mark alongside the distinct "Wello" logo inside a crescent moon shape (Wello-Werk, Solingen). Overall State: A very fine, historically rich, and authentic field-used naval set. The parts display a clean, uncleaned aluminum patina with honest pocket wear, making it a fantastic addition to a Kriegsmarine crew display.
