Tailor-Made Tropical HBT Short Trousers

€ 249,00
A nice, original, and highly appealing pair of WWII German tropical short trousers (Tropen-Kurzhose), executed in the desirable khaki-coloured Herringbone Twill (HBT / Fischgratmuster) fabric [aaamilitaria.com]. This specific pair represents an absolute textbook period tailor-made piece (Privat Anfertigung). Because official depot-issued tropical garments were often scarce, restricted, or poorly fitting, officers and enlisted men frequently purchased customized clothing from private tailors using locally sourced or captured fabrics. This pair is an exceptional example of this common wartime practice, featuring high-quality construction details such as a dedicated watch pocket with an integrated steel retention ring and German factory-marked buckles. An excellent, display-ready item that fits perfectly on a combat mannequin display.
