Aluminum Domed Heer Fork 1942

is an original WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) mess hall or officers fork made of high-grade lightweight aluminum. The handle features a spectacular, highly detailed and embossed dome-style national eagle (Hoheitsadler) on the front. The reverse is clearly maker marked with the initials S & H L 42 indicating production by Schlumbohm & Hezius Lüdenscheid in 1942. The fork is in a wonderful clean condition with minor signs of period use and no structural damage or bending.
