An original Second World War period German army mess hall porcelain plate (Kantinenporzellan). This high-quality plate features a clean white glaze and was intended for use within military barracks or field messes of the Heer.The reverse side displays a very crisp and detailed green underglaze transfer stamp featuring the official army eagle with a swastika. Directly below is the classic manufacturer's logo of the prestigious company Rosenthal from Selb, Germany, complete with its crown mark and the clear production date of 1942. The plate is in fine used condition with sharp markings on the reverse. A very clean, textbook piece of Third Reich military tableware.
