Pre-WWII German SA Sports Badge in Silver - Rare 1st Pattern (Type A) - Bonner Kunstprägeanstalt - Low Serial Number 33939. An original and highly detailed pre-WWII German SA Sports Badge in Silver (SA-Sportabzeichen in Silber), instituted by SA-Stafchef Ernst Röhm and officially recognized in 1934. This Silver Class award was presented to participants aged 35–40 who passed rigorous physical defense tests, or to younger men maintaining bronze standards over consecutive years. The design features a crisp, die-struck Roman combat sword superimposed over a centralized swastika, surrounded by a vlijmscherp detailed oval oak-leaf wreath. The reverse provides ultimate material and period authentication. It features a solid-back, die-struck Buntmetall construction with a heavy factory-applied silver plating. The upper vertical arm is crisply struck with the official owner inscription: "EIGENTUM D. CHEFS D. AUSBILDUNGSWESENS", identifying this as a highly desirable 1st Pattern issue (1934-1935) dating to the early tenure of Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger. The wreath showcases two raised cartouches containing the rare manufacturer hallmark: "BONNER KUNSTPRÄGEANSTALT" and "BEDARF BONN/RH.". Crucially, the top left side of the wreath features a deeply stamped, exceptionally low official registration serial number: "33939", dating this specific silver-grade award to the very early production batches of mid-1934.The hardware configuration is 100% original and intact, featuring its correct heavy hinge blocks and a round wire C-catch, both attached via robust, untouched factory solder joints holding the broad, flat pin-back needle under tight period tension. The surface remains completely uncleaned, boasting a spectacular dark-toned natural silver tarnish and deep oxidation clusters surrounding the historical factory lettering.
