WWI Imperial German Iron Cross Ribbon Mount Presentation Envelope (Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz Verleihungstüte)An original and highly uncommon WWI Imperial German paper presentation envelope (Verleihungsetui/Verleihungstüte). Moving away from WWII-era re-issue clasps, this period-authentic paper packet was utilized between 1914 and 1918 to house a metal ribbon mounting bar or parade medal bar suspension system (Ordensspange) for the Iron Cross. The front features a crisp, centralized printing in traditional Imperial Fraktur script reading: "Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz". Due to its fragile nature, very few of these frontline issue paper packets survived, making this a very scarce accessory piece for the advanced medal specialist.The condition is outstanding and entirely untouched, showing honest period handling soil and light carbon smudges on the upper section. The paper remains strong, crisp, and completely unaltered.
