WWII Kriegsmarine U-Boat Leather Trousers - Emil Köster Neumünster (Panzer Used)An exceptional, museum-grade example of WWII German Kriegsmarine black leather trousers (U-Boot Lederhose). This outstanding piece is constructed from incredibly supple, heavy-grade black dyed leather, remaining in fully flexible, wearable condition. The interior waistband retains its completely original, crisp woven linen manufacturer label reading: "Bekleidungswerke Rft.-Ggl. vorm. Emil Köster A.-G. Neumünster", explicitly stamped with size "Größe 50". Crucially, the lower left corner of the label features the rare, authentic depot issue ink stamp: "ausgeliefert" (issued). The trousers feature the classic deep side pockets and a strong multi-button fly configuration. True to combat-used field examples, the rear adjustment straps were period-removed by the crew member to prevent snagging inside tight enclosures. This specific pattern of Kriegsmarine leather gear is highly famous for being widely requisitioned and worn by Waffen-SS Panzer crews (most notably the 12. SS-Panzer-Division "Hitlerjugend") during the heavy fighting in Normandy due to its excellent fire- and oil-resistant capabilities. The leather shows beautiful light period field wear with tight stitching and absolutely no modern cleaning or damage. An investment-grade combat uniform piece that is virtually impossible to upgrade in suppleness and label clarity.
