This mid-war production Sanitätstornister 34 (medical backpack) is constructed from canvas, leather, and brown pony fur, featuring the distinctive hand-painted or stenciled Red Cross roundel directly on the front flap. The leather reverse is clearly maker-stamped by the well-known manufacturer Lohmann-Werke AG from Bielefeld and is dated 1943.The backpack is in a heavily used, combat-worn condition, showing deep field use, age, and character-building wear to both the fur and leather parts. All main attachment and carrying straps are present. A textbook, untouched mid-war medical piece with great combat appeal.
