This highly sought-after combat award features the distinctive and beautifully detailed profile of a right-facing eagle's head with its iconic large eye, set inside a circular oakleaf wreath with a bottom swastika, flanked by horizontal oakleaf wings. Struck with sharp details, this variant is non-maker marked but exhibits superb, heavy wartime (tombak) construction. The reverse side remains completely untouched with an honest, attractive age patina. The original horizontal round wire pin, barrel hinge, and catch assembly are completely intact, tight, and in fully functional condition. A classic, combat-issued Luftwaffe flight award in excellent condition.
