This highly aesthetic plaque features the classic diamond shape, deeply struck with the early-style eagle clutching a laurel branch and incorporating the HJ diamond at the bottom.The reverse side shows a flawless, period-engraved dedication revealing its exact historical background: "GEB. MEISTERSCH. i. SCHWIMMEN 1941 4 x 100 m". This indicates the piece was awarded for the regional 4 x 100-meter swimming relay during the wartime sports competitions of 1941.
