The pencils are the desirable unlacquered economy variants (Kriegsproduktion), crafted from natural hexagonal cedar wood to conserve materials during the war years. All 5 pencils feature original blue copying cores (Kopierstifte), which were widely used by administrative staff and officers for signing official documents. The cardboard storage box shows a classic pre-war/wartime geometric reptile-skin pattern with deep red borders, remaining in solid and complete condition without any modern repairs. A fantastic, untouched "time capsule" item to complete a wartime desk arrangement or a map case display.
