This is an authentic second pattern U-Boat Front Clasp (U-Boot-Frontspange) in silver, manufactured by the renowned firm Schwerin & Söhne from Berlin. Struck from late-war Feinzink, this solid-back award features the classic integral hinge configuration, where the hinge block is formed directly from the zinc base plate itself. The reverse displays the highly detailed and crisp, raised legal markings, featuring the designer's credit ENTWURF PEEKHAUS on the left wing and the maker mark AUSF. SCHWERIN BERLIN 68 on the right wing.
