This is an original WW2 German Wehrmacht Enlisted Leather Combat Belt (Koppelriemen für Mannschaften) measuring a highly desirable and premium display length of 100 centimeters. The belt features its original early-to-mid war angular steel end catch (Gegenhaken) which still retains much of its original dark field-grey finish. Most interestingly, this particular belt features a fascinating factory error or depot modification: the inner leather adjustment tongue was never mounted. Instead, the double adjustment holes were punched directly into the main belt leather during production to save time and material. The inner side of the belt features a clear, period soldier-carved personal initial letter "H". This is a great, honest 100% textbook combat belt in the most sought-after collector size, showing a unique manufacturing variation from the height of the war.
