Very nice, authentically worn Black Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz) complete with its original award document (Besitzzeugnis). The badge shows nice honest wear with part of the black finish worn down to the brass-colored base metal on the high points.
The accompanying document is awarded for a first wound suffered on March 19, 1942. It was officially issued on March 24, 1942, and features a clear hand-inked signature by the Stabsarzt and commander of a medical unit. The document has some light age-related folding and wear but remains in great condition. A beautiful matching set.
