Munich "Mahnmal an der Feldherrnhalle" Postcard

(Postally Used)

An original, postally used Third Reich photographic propaganda postcard featuring the "Mahnmal für die Gefallenen des 9. November 1923 an der Feldherrnhalle" in Munich. The sharp black-and-white image captures the heavily symbolic monument flanked by two traditional Allgemeine-SS guards in ceremonial coats. Published by H. Wutz Kunstverlag, München (Nr. 127), the reverse features a handwritten family message in Sütterlin/Kurrent script alongside a standard Deutsches Reich postage stamp and Munich postmark. The text itself contains everyday family updates regarding the weather and local potato harvest, offering a fascinating period contrast between totalitarian propaganda imagery and ordinary civilian life. The card remains in solid condition with good edges and clean overall contrast.
