Haus der Deutschen Kunst Hitler Portrait Postcard by Hans Schachinger
An original wartime art postcard published for the prestigious Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung at the Haus der Deutschen Kunst in Munich. The front features a monochrome reproduction of the famous 1942 oil painting titled "Führerbildnis" by the Austrian portrait artist Hans Schachinger, depicting Adolf Hitler in a field tunic holding binoculars. The reverse is completely clean and unposted, featuring crisp period typography identifying the location, artist, and artwork. A classic, unissued example of official Third Reich cultural and artistic propaganda in excellent, well-preserved condition with sharp corners.
