WWI German Infantry Regiment 120 Portrait Photo - Ulm Studio Mounted
An original, beautifully preserved Imperial German World War I studio portrait photograph depicting a soldier in full field gear, measuring approximately 17 x 7 cm including its period cardboard mount. The soldier is captured in crisp detail wearing his M1910 field tunic, a chest-mounted military flashlight, and a Mauser Gewehr 98 slung over his shoulder. Notably, he wears his traditional Pickelhaube helmet fitted with its active-service canvas camouflage cover, clearly showing the stenciled regiments number 120 for Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 120 (2. Württembergisches). The scenic studio backdrop features a column marked "Zur Erinnerung an das Kriegsjahr 1914/15". The lower section of the heavy card stock mount features the elegant embossed logo of the photographic studio Ernst Eberle based in Ulm a./D.. A very clean, highly detailed, and regimentally identifiable piece of early-war portraiture.
