1942 "Auch 1940 A.K. voraus" Kriegsmarine Propaganda Postcard
An original, unissued Kriegsmarine propaganda art postcard published by Marinepropagandakompanie West for the "Tag der Wehrmacht" on March 17th, 1940. Designed by the artist Tress, the striking blue-and-white front artwork depicts a German warship slicing through heavy seas, bearing the aggressive early-war slogan "Auch 1940 A.K. voraus ... gegen Engeland" (Forward at Maximum Speed Against England). The clean, unposted reverse features crisp typography attributing the distribution to the Marine-Nachrichten-Offizier Süd based in Langenargen am Bodensee. This highly collectible naval propaganda example remains in outstanding, crisp, near-mint condition with bright color contrast and sharp edges.
