WWII German Blue-Gray Uniform Sewing Thread Spool - Gütermann’s Reform-Seide (300M)
An original WWII-era German factory-wrapped sewing thread spool produced by the famous manufacturer Gütermann & Cie. This spool contains 300 meters of premium blue-gray (graublau / luftwaffenblau) high-quality silk thread, specifically labeled as “Gütermann's Reform-Seide - Beste Qualität Schappe-Seide” (Größe 1). This specific shade was extensively used by military tailors for the production, insignia application, and repair of German uniforms and headgear. The spool is in unissued, mint condition from a recently discovered wartime German tailor’s archive (Schneidernachlass), retaining its original protective paper sleeve with clear maker markings and the checkered logo. The thread remains completely strong and is not rotten.
Please note: This item is sold per individual 300-meter spool. We have a total of 7 spools available. Ordering a spool will not set this product listing to "reserved", as multiple quantities remain in stock. A pristine, textbook accessory to complete a soldier’s personal sewing kit (Hausfrau) or for period-correct uniform restorations.
