WWII German Field-Gray Uniform Sewing Thread Spool - Ackermann’s Degen Obergarn (1000M)
An original WWII-era German military tailor's factory-wrapped sewing thread spool manufactured by the prominent firm Ackermann. This large-capacity spool contains a full 1,000 meters of heavy-duty field-gray/dark green (feldgrau / dunkelgrün) garment thread, explicitly designated on the paper label as “Ackermann’s Degen Obergarn” (Größe NE 30/4 Z-D). This specific thread weight and dark green shade were the absolute standard used by army tailors for stitching dense wool combat tunics (Feldblusen), trousers, and applying factory insignia. The spool comes from a recently discovered wartime German tailor’s archive (Schneidernachlass) and is in unissued, mint condition. The colorful paper end-labels with the iconic crossed swords trade design remain flawlessly intact. The material is strong, functional, and completely rot-free.
Please note: This item is sold per individual 1000-meter spool. We have a total of 3 spools available. Ordering a spool will not set this product listing to "reserved", as multiple quantities remain in stock. A highly practical component for high-end uniform restorations or a premier addition to a period military workshop display.
