An exceptional find for advanced uniform restorers: original WWII German Army (Heer) subdued zilvergrijs Unteroffizier rank braid (NCO Tresse). This 9mm-wide textile braiding features the textbook post-1935 diamond pattern (Rautenmuster) running down the center, which was standard regulation for outlining field blouse collars and shoulder boards for ranks from Unteroffizier and above. Recovered directly from a recently discovered wartime German tailor's archive (Schneidernachlass), this material is in unissued, mint store stock condition. The fabric remains perfectly strong, pliable, and displays the correct, authentic period patina.
