German Ritterkreuzträger Postcard

Original WW2 German Ritterkreuzträger Postcard – Generaloberst Erwin Rommel (Heinrich Hoffmann)
An exceptional, 100% original wartime portrait postcard of the legendary "Desert Fox", Generaloberst Erwin Rommel. This card belongs to the highly prestigious and officially sanctioned Ritterkreuzträger series published by Heinrich Hoffmann (München), the official photographer of the era. The sharp, high-contrast studio portrait provides extraordinary detail, capturing Rommel wearing his Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes) with Oak Leaves clearly visible at the collar, alongside his general officer's uniform insignia and national emblems. The reverse bears the official publisher mark and series numbering typical of Hoffmann’s production. The postcard is in pristine, unissued, and unwritten (ungelaufen) condition, displaying sharp corners, clean borders, and natural period age-toning on the reverse with no modern alterations.
