VDA Postcard – Major Walter Koch

Original WW2 German VDA Postcard – Major Walter Koch (Wolfgang Willrich Art)
An original wartime artistic color portrait postcard of Fallschirmjäger-Offizier Major Walter Koch, commander of the elite Fallschirmjäger-Sturm-Abteilung Koch. Brilliantly illustrated by the renowned wartime artist Wolfgang Willrich, this card was officially published in October 1941 by the Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland (VDA) as part of the Unsere Luftlandetruppen series. The reverse displays detailed commemorative text celebrating Koch's tactical leadership during the successful capture of the Albert Canal bridges and the Belgian fortress Fort Eben-Emael in May 1940. The postcard is preserved in pristine, unissued, and unwritten (ungelaufen) condition, exhibiting clean borders, sharp corners, and standard natural reverse age-toning with crisp publisher logotypes.
