VDA Postcard – Hauptmann Altmann "Delica"

Original WW2 German VDA Postcard – Hauptmann Altmann "Delica" (Wolfgang Willrich Art)
An original wartime artistic color portrait postcard featuring elite Fallschirmjäger officer Hauptmann Gustav Altmann, published under his wartime tactical security pseudonym "Delica". Illustrated by the prominent artist Wolfgang Willrich, this card was issued by the Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland (VDA) as part of the Unsere Luftlandetruppen series. The reverse features bold commemorative text honoring his essential role during the historic assault and capture of the Belgian fortress Fort Eben-Emael in May 1940 (wirkte wesentlich bei der Eroberung des belgischen Fort Eben-Emael mit). The postcard is in unissued and unwritten (ungelaufen) condition, showing standard publisher markings and series designation (P 1 R 10 Nr. 3). The card exhibits authentic period age-toning and visible foxing/spotting along the borders and reverse face, remaining completely original with no modern restoration.
