VDA Postcard – Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel

Original WW2 German VDA Postcard – Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel (Wolfgang Willrich Art)
An exceptional, original wartime artistic color portrait postcard featuring Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel, the legendary "Desert Fox". Masterfully illustrated by the renowned period artist Wolfgang Willrich, this highly desirable card was officially published by the Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland (VDA) under the specialized Unsere Panzerwaffe series. The front displays a striking, detailed color rendering of Rommel wearing his general officer's field tunic, the Pour le Mérite, and his Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, complete with his iconic desert goggles resting atop his M40 field cap. The reverse carries the bold series heading and official publisher logotypes. The postcard is in excellent, unissued, and unwritten (ungelaufen) condition, exhibiting crisp borders, sharp corners, and a clean reverse face showing only minimal, natural storage toning.
