Early WWII German HJ Transitional Shirt

This is a fascinating and highly unusual transitional uniform shirt (Diensthemd), dating from the early period of the Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) when the organization absorbed the previously existing German scouting organizations (Deutsches Pfadfinderbund). Crafted from a robust, heavy khaki-tan cotton twill, the shirt is equipped with correct pleated breast pockets, scalloped flaps, and button-down shoulder epaulet straps. Crucially, the shirt features a pair of distinct, dark ghost-mark discolorations on both sleeves, indicating the prolonged attachment of armbands. The placement on the right arm strongly aligns with a Sanitäts-allianz or Krankenträger (Medical/Red Cross) service armband, while the left sleeve shows the phantom mark of a standard youth or regional organizational armband.
Technical examination of the buttons reveals faint period press-lettering reading "Seid bereit" (Be Prepared), the historic German scouting motto. When the NSDAP outlawed independent scouting groups and integrated them into the HJ system, massive stocks of scouting shirts and custom hardware were re-issued and worn out until standardized RZM-marked H.J./D.J. hardware took complete precedence. While the "Seid bereit" motto was later famously re-used by the East German communist Pioneers after the war, the specific material weave, tailored pattern, and construction characteristics confirm this piece as 100% pre-1945 Third Reich manufacture.
