Heer Gebirgsjäger M37 mountain boots

Original M37 Wehrmacht ‘Gebirgsjäger’ mountain boots were a specific, sturdier type of ankle boot issued to German mountain troops during World War II, designed for harsh mountain terrain with features like hobnailed soles. The M37 Gebirgsjäger mountain boots (Bergschuhe für Gebirgsjäger) were specifically designed for mountain warfare and differed from standard M37 low boots (Schnürschuhe). The boots came complete with original hobnails and iron plates on the soles, designed to grip rock surfaces better. The top of the boot opening was typically bordered with a piece of field-grey wool or cloth for comfort and protection against the elements. They are ankle-high lace-up boots, meant to be worn with gaiters (Gamaschen or Wickelgamaschen).

This is an awesome set of M37 Gebirgsjäger boots. They come in a very nice light brown colour, they are time period re-laced with original leather brown laces. They are slightly worn and I would say this pair is nearly mint. They come with the shoe makers boot-strechers! It was easy to make out what size they are, it says so on the spanners. A very nice and rare find!
