Wehrmacht parade helmet

The Wehrmacht used special, lightweight parade helmets that differed from the standard combat helmets (Stahlhelme). Unlike steel combat helmets, parade helmets were often made of lightweight aluminum or sometimes even plastic/fiber for officers and ceremonial purposes. The design was usually based on the traditional Stahlhelm model (such as the M35 model), but in a lighter version. These helmets often featured distinctive double emblems (two decals), including the national shield (the Reichsfarben in red, white, and black) on one side and the emblem of the respective military branch (e.g., the Wehrmacht eagle or Luftwaffe eagle) on the other. They were primarily used during parades, formal ceremonies, and for representative duties, not for actual combat situations.
This item:
A beautiful and rare untouched DD Heer parade helmet. This example has practically all of its paint finish remaining. Both decals are very clear. A very clean inner liner with the size 55 marked with a pencil in the shell. Original drawsting and of course it comes with the brown leather chinstrap with its original carbine clip. This helmet would be tough to upgrade!
