WWII German bakelite container used for holding the additional propellant charges ("Kart. Vorl. L.F.H. 16/18") for the 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 16 or 18 (lFH 16/18) light field howitzers. The German 10.5 cm howitzer used "separate loading" ammunition, where the projectile and propellant cartridge were loaded separately. Different sized bags of propellant (charges) were used for different ranges. This specific small container was used to store the additional charges (booster charges), maker marked and dated 1944. Good condition.
