The KS98 (Kurzes Seitengewehr 98) is a German bayonet model that saw service during both World War I and World War II, in various variations. The term "extraseitengewehr" or "extra side bayonet" often refers to the ceremonial or dress bayonets that were privately purchased and worn by soldiers on parade or dress occasions, and were not intended for combat use.

This KS98 is made by the company E.u.F Hörster from Solingen. The bakelite grips are in a very good condition, it comes with it's frog which is near mint. The portepee shows normal wear without damage. The blade is in a pristine conditioin and still has practically all of it's original factory polishing. The frog is in a MINT condition and is maker marked Johann fröhlich, Wien 1938. The scabbard is in a great shape with all of it's original paint still present. Over all, a nice and complete SK98.
