A "political RZM s.a belt" is an original historical artifact: a uniform belt worn by members of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party (NSDAP), during the Third Reich period (1933-1945). Refers to its use by political/paramilitary branches of the NSDAP, as distinct from the regular German military (Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, etc.).
RZM: Stands for Reichszeugmeisterei (National Materials Control Office). This was the Nazi Party's central supply and control office responsible for the standardization and quality control of all official uniforms, insignia, and equipment. The RZM marks and codes (e.g., M5/71, L2/2601/38) found on the leather belt and/or buckle indicate that the item was an officially approved and manufactured piece. S.A.: Stands for Sturmabteilung, also known as the "Brownshirts". They were an important early organization within the Nazi movement. These belts were typically made of brown or black leather and featured specific uniform buckles
