Very rare MKB42 magazine pouch

The MKb 42 (Maschinenkarabiner 42) was an early German assault rifle developed during World War II. It served as the direct predecessor to the world's first widely produced assault rifle, the StG 44. Designed to bridge the gap between short-range submachine guns (like the MP 40) and long-range bolt-action rifles (like the Kar98k), it used the innovative 7.92×33mm Kurz intermediate cartridge. This allowed for controllable automatic fire while maintaining greater effective range and power than a standard pistol-caliber weapon.

This bag was in a lot I recently found in Germany. Initially, I set it aside because I wasn't aware of any Stg bag with only one flap. Further research has revealed that it is an original and very rare MKB 42 bag. I've found a few reproductions, but they don't resemble this one in the slightest. It's made of green canvas, with a black leather closure strap and loops. It has a metal D-ring on the top, and on the side is the charger bag with a leather lid with a snap fastener (it's a bit rusty). The left loop on the back has a visible Waffenamt, of which I believe is WaA 204. The inside of the flap has an RbnNr. and dated 1944. The D-ring attachment is reinforced on the inside with a piece of tent shelter fabric. A very rare example.
