The Amtsanschließer 33 (often abbreviated as Amtsanschließer) was a German field telephone adapter from World War II, designed to connect the standard FF33 (Feldfernsprecher 33) to the public civilian telephone network. It served as an intermediate station (trunk) between the army's local battery systems (LB) and the public network's central battery systems. The device was equipped with a rotary dial, allowing soldiers to dial numbers on the civilian network from the field, something not possible with a standard field telephone.
Housed in a robust Bakelite housing, the device could be used either as a standalone desk telephone or as a coupler for field lines. Unlike the FF33, it often featured a buzzer instead of a bell to save space.
