An NSDAP or SA podium banner is a decorative textile banner used during the Third Reich (1933–1945) to drape over podiums, tables, or balconies during political speeches, rallies, and official ceremonies. These items are significant in the field of Third Reich militaria collecting, representing the propaganda and, visual style of the Nazi party. These banners typically feature a bright red cloth background, with a white central disc (roundel) that has a black swastika. They are usually single-sided, intended to be hung flat against a structure. They often feature a fringe at the bottom and sometimes have cotton tapes or rings for fastening. They were used by various Nazi organizations, party leaders, and local officials (Ortsgruppe) to signify authority and decorate for events. While many were standard, some featured added elements such as gold wire embroidery for high-ranking officials or oakleaf decorations.
These, along with other Nazi symbols, were abolished by Allied military governments at the end of World War II, making original, period-authentic examples historical artifacts, often brought home by U.S. veterans.

This one was brought to the U.S.A. by a veteran. A nice podium banner. It hasn't been cleaned and has some damage at the top, but it makes a very nice display piece. One side features a disk with a swastika sewn onto the red cloth. The swastika is printed on the disk. All four ribbons for attaching it are still present. It has very interesting dimensions: 70 x 50 cm, so it will easily fit into any collection.
