The Kriegsmarine NB Kopffernsprecher 41 is a rare headset with an integrated microphone that was used by the German Navy (Kriegsmarine) during World War II. The device served as an intercom system on board ships, coastal artillery crew and U-boats, allowing crew members to keep their hands free during combat situations or technical operations. The set consists of two headphones connected by a headband and a movable microphone mounted on a chin strap. The microphone is often hinged, allowing it to be folded away from the mouth when not in use. The abbreviation "NB" stands for the manufacturer Neumann & Borm, a well-known German company that produced communication equipment at the time. The headband and straps are usually made of canvas webbing.

This 41 set is in amazing, unused, like-new condition; I found it in the original box. It is clearly a Kriegsmarine headset as only four cables are used. The model was also used by the Wehrmacht; these were identical, though they had a different plug. The plug on this unit has never been fitted. It is neatly marked by the manufacturer, and I even noticed a small WaA. A beautiful and rare set in very fine condition.
