Woodwork: The wooden handle and head assembly are in beautiful, structural condition. The wood remains completely solid, showing no deep cracks, soft spots, woodworm damage, or dry rot. Metalwork & Paint: The thick steel weight-ring around the head is firmly attached. It retains a substantial portion of its original factory-applied black protective lacquer finish, presenting an excellent uncleaned patina with honest surface wear. The side of the wooden handle displays a very sharp, dark, and beautifully preserved hot-stamped factory logo. The trademark "Stern-Gerät" text inside its iconic diamond/rhombus (ruit) border is 100% legible. A highly collectible, complete, and undamaged example of German training gear. It remains completely inert, safe, and displays outstanding historical character.
