The dagger is in exceptional, uniform-removed condition throughout, displaying a gorgeous, synchronized age patina across all metal components. The Blade: The bright steel blade is in spectacular condition, completely free of rust, pitting, or chips, retaining its sharp needlepoint tip and brilliant factory polish. The reverse ricasso is deeply and cleanly etched with the famous 1935–1941 Eickhorn trademark featuring the squirrel under the word "Original". The blade fits the scabbard flawlessly. The Hilt & Grip: The attractive off-white synthetic grip is entirely intact with no cracks or chips. The detailed national eagle crossguard and pommel show crisp details and a beautiful, uncleaned dark patina. The Scabbard: The steel scabbard remains completely free of dents or bends. It correctly features the early-style throat secured by two original side screws (left and right). Accessories: Includes its original 42 cm silver-aluminum wire bullion portepee, which shows minor, honest period fraying near the center but remains structurally stable. The accompanying deluxe hangers feature smooth oval buckles and are finished with their correct green velvet backing, remaining in very nice, serviceable condition.
