Panzerschreck Shield Replacement Glass in Packet

An original, wartime German replacement safety glass (Ersatzglas) for the protective blast shield of the Raketenpanzerbüchse 54, famously known as the Panzerschreck. Due to the dangerous backblast of the rocket motor upon firing, the gunner relied entirely on a heavy metal shield fitted with a small viewing window. These square safety glasses were carried as essential spares in the field to replace shattered or soot-covered windows. Surviving examples still housed in their original factory-printed paper envelopes are highly sought after to complete a Panzerschreck display or combat gear grouping.

True to its age and storage history, the top section of the fragile paper envelope is partially weathered and delicate. To preserve this historical document, it has been professionally placed inside a protective plastic seal. The printed German text on the front of the packet remains legible.
