German WH Bakelite Marching Compass - cxn (Emil Busch)This is a very nice, textbook example of a German Wehrmacht infantry marching compass (Marschkompass). The compass features a high-quality, deep black bakelite body that remains in excellent condition, completely free of any chips, cracks, or structural damage. The textured metal lid retains most of its original black finish and operates smoothly.The reverse or side is clearly stamped with the desirable wartime manufacturer code "cxn", indicating production by the prestigious optical firm Emil Busch A.G., Optische Industrie from Rathenow. The compass is in fully functional, working condition. Crucially, it comes completely intact with its original, period-correct grey/brown carrying lanyard. A solid, untouched piece of essential field gear that belongs in every combat display.
